Prof Philippe Grandjean
Dr. Grandjean is Professor of Environmental Medicine at the University of Southern Denmark, Odense, Denmark. He has served in this position since 1982, and the following year he became Consultant in Toxicology for the National Board of Health, Denmark. In 2003, he became Adjunct Professor of Environmental Health at Harvard School of Public Health. He received his academic degrees from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. He serves on editorial boards of seven scientific journals, acted as European Editor of Archives of Environmental Health during 1986-92, and in 2002 became founding Editor-in-Chief with Professor David Ozonoff of BMC’s journal Environmental Health. He has previously served as Vice-Dean of the medical faculty in Odense, as institute chairman and member of the Danish Medical Research Council. Internationally, he has served on or chaired several committees under the auspices of EC, EFSA, IARC, IUPAC, WHO and other organizations. He was recently elected member of the Scientific Committee of the European Environment Agency. Of 500 scientific publications, about half are published in international journals with peer review.
